Annie Leonard Tells The Story of Stuff on Treehugger Radio

Since Annie Leonard created The Story of Stuff, the short web film has been watched some ten million times. But the twenty-minute film was twenty years in the making. So Leonard decided to write a book, telling the tale of her explorations through the cycle of extraction, creation, and disposal that rules so much of the world around us, and our own lives.

Your (Annie Leonard) solution is to be proactive in the politic.
And you are also pro against to be more active in your own household and community (with your neighbours, friends and family)……

So it is and and mentality. Only you said it is the big coporation who is making the important decision in our world. I believe with the 20/80 rule, to reach your outcome faster. You need to put more energy where it is important.

It is important to do the 80%, that is what you describe about in my text to receive the 20%.

What is the 20% of your time and money…. I believe if you do your research and share the information with your community and be proactive in that. And give and keep on giving more solution to your own little community. For sample, if you look at zeitgiest venus project. They give nice sample who we can make our own food, and how we can get our own green energy. I believe their is way more solutions…… and i know you have alot. So i want to have solution how i can be helpfull to my friends/family/neighbours/companies.

Annie, I agree with pretty much every word you say, and I think it’s good that the message is getting out there – people are largely oblivious to the impact of their own actions. I do have one issue with your story of stuff though – when you point out the level of toxins in our bodies and the impact that has on breastmilk – you then state Breast is still best. But having effectively told people that they’re poisoning their baby, you don’t actually give them any reason to believe that ‘Breast is best’. I know your story of stuff video/articles aren’t necessarily the place to discuss this issue, but I found it a throwaway comment which can only do damage in an otherwise authoritative piece.
