2012, here we come!

We created the Story of Stuff Project for you – the members of this community – and you are its heart and soul, something you’ve proven with your generous contributions to our work.

Here at the Story of Stuff Project we’ve been working hard to pay back your generosity by bringing you more of what you want.

To answer your questions about the economic and political systems at the root of our problem with Stuff, we brought you two more movies this year:  an incisive look at corporate power in The Story of Citizens United v. FEC and a challenge to government spending gone awry in The Story of Broke.

For those of you who are educators or active in your faith community, we worked with partners to create specialized study guides that help students and young people of faith explore their relationship with Stuff.

We’ve opened up even more channels for interactive dialogue to find out what’s important to you – through a new website, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and webinars – and have visited more than a few of your cities and campuses in person to get to know you.

And finally, we’ve offered you numerous opportunities to get involved in strategic and trusted campaigns on everything from chemical policy reform to overturning Citizens United.

Here at the Story of Stuff Project, we receive quite a few notes of appreciation for our efforts. But your contributions are what make it all possible.

Which brings us to today.

If you’re anything like us, you’re incredibly excited and encouraged by the groundswell of activism we’ve begun to see in the United States and beyond. As Annie said in a message to the community two weeks ago, there’s something in the air.
Which is why we’ve declared next year to be The Year of Solutions.

In 2012, we’ll be making new movies, launching a new podcast series and more, with solutions front and center, including more ways for community members to take meaningful, concrete action together to win the better future we all want.

Your generous past support has made it possible for us to provide our movies and other resources for free to anyone who wants to view, download or share them.

By making a year end gift to the Story of Stuff Project right now, you’ll enable us to head into 2012 strong, fighting for solutions and inspiring others to join in.

Thank you for helping us get the message out there and for all you do to build a better future.

With our very best wishes for the holidays and New Year,
