The Story of Microbeads

About this film

This 2-minute short takes on plastic microbeads—the nasty little bits of plastic that companies have been putting in everything from body washes and hand soaps to toothpaste and make up. In it, we show how microbeads are actually designed to go down the drain and into our rivers, lakes, and oceans…and what folks like us can do to stop this ridiculous assault on our public waters.

Since this movie was produced in 2015, the United States, Canada, France, Taiwan, South Korea, New Zealand and more countries have announced bans, while other countries like Ireland and India are well on their way towards a ban!

Let's end plastic pollution!

We successfully banned the bead – but there's much more work to do to create a future free from plastic pollution. Won't you join us?
